Working Principle of porcelain lightning arrester :

 

Zinc Oxide Arrester is the most advanced voltage protect equipment nowadays in the whole world. 

 

Cause of the core parts are made of zinc oxide and many other metal oxide, comparing with traditional arresters, the volt-ampere characteristics of resistor disc have been improved much, meantime the through-current capacity have been improved too, thus the zinc oxide arrester brought fundamental change of arresters.

 

 

 

In normal working, the current through arrest is only several microamp, but when suffer overvoltage, the arresters’ nonlinearity volt-ampere characteristics will come into play, the current through arrester will increased to thousands ampere in a moment, the arrester will be in conducting state, discharge the overvoltage, and thus protected the power distribution equipment from damage.

Zinc Oxide Arrester will protect the power equipment in power system from damage of atmospheric overvoltage and switching overvoltage.

3. 48HZ<supply frequency<62HZ

 

4. Power frequency voltage should not be more than continuous running voltage

 

5. Max wind speed should be less than 35m/s

 

6. Earthquake intensity should be less than 7 degree

 

7. If used in contamination area, should be noted in advance.
